he was not like the others; partially, yes, but not all always. not deep down. he was raised to be a specific way; strong, a fighter, a killer. he was a plague and thus had to act like one, even though the land made him ill. the diseases that ran rampant in the scarred wasteland made him constantly sick as a child, but as he grew, he became practically immune, determined not to be weak or a failure to his family, his clan.
along the edge of their territory, one day, two hatchlings were found having wandered in from the windswept plains. plague dragons hate the other types, and thus, the pair were to be killed. but he, being the son of his clan's leader, and highly respected by many of the other clans around, was chosen to pit himself against the two, to bring them to the edge of death before throwing them into the Wyrmwound. but they were children, newborns it even seemed, and he could not find it within himself to kill innocents. for that, he was held down and forced to watch his sister rip them apart, before he himself was kicked out of the lands for good.
he was wandering aimlessly the windswept plains, and one day, it appeared almost by chance, he stumbled across the clan. at first, some of the dragons were weary, especially the third in command female, the delta devara. but the alpha, the leader, she saw potential in aadesh, and allowed him to join them.
over time, devara ignored him, made rude comments, brushed him off. but for some reason he couldn't let her shake him; he kept pursuing her. and finally she let him in. he found how she had not wanted to belong in her home, and how she had traveled the lands before finding her home here. he shared the tale of his own past, and the pair bonded. it wasn't long before they became mates, and he became the clan's delta male. 		669.png
