Soul

This is Soul, one of the first outsiders to join my clan. He's a nature dragon but previously spent time in a water clan before ending up in Shadow. If this competition was up a week ago, a description of Soul's daily activities would include exploring, pilfering from clans in other Flights to build up the clan's hoard, and just all around causing mischief. He likes to think of himself as a marauding pirate, a buccaneer, but really he's never been much more than a petty thief and a mischief maker.

However, while on an excursion several days ago, he found a lightning clan with a certain beautiful tundra lady. His plans of thievery abruptly mislaid, he instead approached openly, doffing his bandanna to her.

After spending just enough time away that Tyria was starting to worry about his well being, Soul returned with a baby dragon riding on his back. After... a moment of concern, given Soul's pilfering habits, he introduced the baby as his son Rodgerach, and the young guardian was welcomed into the clan after a casual sniffing from the matriarch, Tyria.

During Rodger's childhood, Soul's days were spent in a vastly different way from his pilfering habits of the past, and instead of wandering the lands and running amok, he stays at home in the lair, helping Reiza and Sisiera organise and decorate, and keeping a watchful eye on Rodger, making sure that he's having fun, is well fed, and doesn't stray too far from their home. In fact, he now considers all the younger dragons of the clan his charges, under Tyria's guardianship of the clan as a whole.

Now his son is grown, Soul has joined up with Vesper and Varjotar to fight monsters, and win treasure and glory for the clan. He comforts himself with the fact that while his son is now an adult, Soul himself is still the larger one.

Disgusted by the casual disinterest fellow clan member Splash has in his son, Soul has taken the young dragon, Bartholomew, both figuratively and literally under his wing.

Although he might think it risky to admit, given that he is only in this clan on the grace of the matriarch, Soul is proud of his son for going after love, despite said love having had a mate chosen for her already by said matriarch.

Already attached to his grandson, a little tundra boy, Soul proceeds to join the hatchling's mother and father in doting on him shamelessly.

It is a wonderful coincidence that on the very same day his foster son Bartholomew leaves the clan, Soul's mate Auriel comes to visit, and they nest together, producing two eggs.
