Born in the deepest reaches of the cave system beneath Dragonhome, Opalites can be spotted throughout the region. These gaudy creatures serve as the Earthshaker's eyes and ears, using their beautiful appearance and sunny disposition to encourage other dragons to let down their guard around the Opalites. These dragons make expert strategists and spies, but can be easily distracted by shiny things (including their own opalescent fur and scales).
