Mute. His inability to speak caused him difficulties in his childhood, and was a point of much friction and malcontent with his parents. As such, Asoc was almost never at home, and learned how to pilfer and steal to sustain himself throughout the day.

Without any strong ties to the coatl settlements, Asoc decided to see what the world has to offer. Although he is mute, most other dragons do not understand Coatl speech anyways, so this handicap is rarely brought up. For Asoc, who has always been looked down upon for his inability to create the humming tones of his species, this indifference is a liberation. His hearing is better than most. To his joy he seems to be picking up understanding of draconian quite better than expected for a coatl. Major communication is still most often done via writing or handcant.

Asoc loves animals, and has quite the menagerie he spends time with when not out stealing or fencing his goods. Asoc tends to keep to himself. Asoc can produce a rasping noise out of his throat, but that is all the noise he is capable of.
