B I O G R A P H Y

Main Theme: We Come Running - Youngblood Hawke

______ Coal was the was the first to hatch in his parent's first nest together. He is the most satisfied to be dubbed "normal" of the nest. Coal has never been very ambitious. He has enjoyed living a mellow life with his family. Coal never tried to stand out whether it was with dazzling apparel, or speaking his mind. That being said Coal did not spend his time in the background. He held a respectable position within the clan of his birth. Coal helped to replenish the Armory, kept tabs on the needs of the barracks, and most of all stood as a guard for Clan Spoopy.

______ D espite his more passive outlook on life Coal was well aware of the tension in his family. Their father, Sherbert, did not acknowledge any of their existence. Their mother, Uzume, was always busy with the needs of the clans. She insisted she loved the four but was never there to prove her words. Coal knew each of his siblings were dealing with their pain in a different manner.

______ Coal’s siblings Sunlight and Ash seemed the most outwardly eager to gain attention from their father. As far as Coal can tell Ash has been the most successful in garnering the Wildclaw’s attention. Coal finds himself closest to his coatl brother. Coal always played with Ash as a hatchling. He found comfort in being with a sibling that was more similar and easier to understand, or so he thought. After the clan leader, Aki, met with the strange Fae Levoy, Coals entire life was turned upside down. The Clan Spoopy leader seemed convinced that a bond could be made between the two clans. Seeing the physical abuse brought on by his trusted brother and that horrific grin from the Fae, Coal was under a very different opinion. He had the feeling he would be forced into the equivalent of slavery for this new clan. These gold bands that Levoy placed on him could not be taken off no matter how hard the navy dragon tried.

______ Shortly after his temporary return to Clan Spoopy Sunlight came to visit him. She said she had to check that the new piercings she gave him did not cause any infection. Everytime he tried to speak she would interrupt and waved awkwardly before leaving. Coal could not understand why she was cutting ties to him so adamantly. As far as Coal was concerned they got along. Heck, he even helped to paint the walls of her chambers, many of Sunlight’s fights and shining moments are etched for all to see. Coal worried that he “outlasted his use” to his sister. It was a feeling that left a bad taste in his mouth. He never saw her as that petty but he had clearly been wrong in Ash’s love of him. What did the Ultramarine Coatl mean when he said “the less of us there are the more there is for me and the less there are to stop me.” What could he possibly have planned? Did Ash mean without him around there would be more attention from their father? Sherbert was not worth it! Why did their father have to tear them apart? Coal gave up a long time ago on his father, why couldn’t the others do the same.

______ Three days before his departure Coal’s new siblings were hatched. Just as it was with his siblings there were four eggs which hatched two Wildclaws and two Coatls. For the life of him Coal could not understand why his parents nested again when Sherbert did not even help to raise his first nest. Coal started to bitterly think that his mother was being selfish in giving life to his new younger siblings since she hardly had the time for a single one of them. He had already seen Moonlight taking to feeding them, grooming them, and in general taking care of them in these 3 days of life. It is not their job to raise the four sisters. It was hard for Coal to hang out with them. Seeing them so innocent made his throat close up. He would have to leave them soon and they are too young to understand why. That he was to be replaced with some Tundra who Aki saw as a way to connect the clas. Coal doubted the Tundra’s original home even cared that he would be gone. He observed them in his last month of freedom. They were handing out Tundras to random clans around the lands of dragons. They did not raise their offspring like Clan Spoopy.

*Glances at the offsprings for few moments, soon pointing with a crooked finger at Coal. *

"That's your first born"

*evil smirk appears on the Fae´s face that was hidden behind its mask, spitting in its tiny palm and offering LostOnes its hand in agreement *

"Shake on it? Your firstborn for a hatchling from that pair."

*That eerie smile appears again* Is that small Fae to be trusted with LostOne's true firstborn from her lair? *

*Coal glances at Aki with disbelief*

"He was indeed my first" *nods head enthusiastically despite Coal's frantic gesturing to stop* "I see no harm in bringing clans together with shared families!" *Shakes hand*

*Coal looks on with despair, wondering the pains and sorrows he must now face.*

*Grips firmly on LostOnes´s hand and shakes on it* Well firmly v how small the Fae was.

*Slowly turning its gaze towards Coal as that eerie smile formed on his lips*

"Purrfect.... I will get the pot brewing when I am back in the lair."

Unknown by poor Coal, the little Fae had "this" in store for him after he would gear him up for night-shift duty at the lair. (Oddly unpopular post nowdays at the lair, do to the new dragon species lurking at night )

*Coal screeches in terror and attempts to fly away but his sibling Ash drags him down*
"Got to take one for the team bro."

"Ash! He is our brother," *cries out Moonlight. Sunlight touches his shoulder and just shakes her head sadly*

"What must be done, must be done," *Her voice barely audible over the cries of Coal.*

"Please, Ash, Please, stop! I don't want this!" *Ash continues to beat him into submission*

"It is for the good of the clan!" *he moves close to his nearly unconscious brother and whispers* "the less of us there are the more there is for me and the less there are to stop me." *Before the Coatl could respond Ash whips him with his tail and drags him away towards the Fae*

Grins as he watches the poor Coatl male being beaten into submission, letting family sort out their matters and besides what can a Fae do to stop such things? Though honestly, the Fae thought that toughening up the new future night guard at the lair would do the Coatl good.

*scribbles into his notebook* < Coal, new guard on duty for our lair after few weeks >

But as LostOnes ´s approaches with the half unconscious Coatl the Fae smiles.

"Ahhh excellent!"

The small Fae flutters down and before Coal could swipe away towards the Fae the small Fae touched his ankle. The same moment a simple gold bracelet appeared on is ankle.

"Your belong to the Egg-hunters lair now , I think Ylfa will be pleased not sure about Xara, that old hag has been in a foul mood up to late."

*The small Fae shaking its head , marking something in its book next to the general description of Coal in his book, diverting his attention to LostOnes again*

"You will keep him few weeks though until I can provide my end of the deal."

*glancing down at Coal*

"Besides he gets some time to say goodbye before... yes before"

*The Fae suddenly getting distracted as it scribbles something else in its book but before another word gets spoken a sharp wind literally blows the little Fae away as only the distant shout could be heard briefly before distance itself made it unable for anyone to hear that small voice of his*

"I will hunt him dooow......"

*Sunlight takes off her piercings and puts them on her brother's wing as a farewell gift and a way to remember her by. Moonlight is sobbing in the corner and Ash is trying to not look too pleased with himself at these turn of events.*
