Ahndell

As night fell one dark evening, a black streak flew across the sky. A trail of hazy, black smoke trailed behind, leaving darkness in its wake. All across the Scarred Wasteland, dragons embraced their loved ones in fear and dread, for surely this was an omen that would end the world as they knew it.

Had they seen it for what it was, their fears would have been laid to rest. For this streak was not a streak, but a Skydancer. This Skydancer had been born into the plague realm with pitch black wings that left a strange dark aura behind it. For many years, this dragon had flown the skies of the Scarred Wasteland alone. He knew not his purpose, nor had a place he could call home. He knew his appearance intimidated the plague dragons, ones who had not known fear for many a century. Where could a beast such as him find shelter?

After many years of solitude, he learned of a place of darkness, where the shadow dragons lived. Just beyond the eastern borders lay the Tangled Wood. It was his best shot to make his way in the world.

He finally landed in Driftwood Drag, where he heard a wistfully beautiful voice. He felt drawn to it, somehow enchanted by the sound. He followed it, arriving at a spring to find a white Coatl with sky blue wings.

"Who are you?" the Skydancer inquired.

The Coatl ceased her song, realising she had company. She beamed at this newcomer, stating "Iku. My name is Iku."

The two spoke for hours, sharing their tales that brought them to this place. Iku told the Skydancer of her clan and the friends she had made since arriving. He smiled at this, and agreed to meet them.
