Alyssa
War erupted like the thunder above the Shifting Expanse in the Lord Tyrant's land. A once peaceful kingdom had fallen to chaos under the reign of the tyrant, Leodynous. Leodynous was a powerful ruler, with an only daughter and no queen. He had come to power through the sudden death of his father. Drunk with power, he decided to invade and conquer other clans, but he ruled with an iron fist and made many enemies, including his own people. Clan Matriarch His daughter, Alyssa, saw the devastation to come, and did everything in her power to prevent it. But sometimes your best just isn't enough. It took no more then a year before his people rose against him. His territories saw the uprising as a weakness to strike at, and his enemies aligned to attack. Alyssa, being a small fae, was able to slip out quickly and flee the conflict. She hid for a long time until the fighting inevitably stopped, replaced only by steady rain. She made her way back towards the broken kingdom to find it had been entirely destroyed. Where once stood a magnificent tower, now only laid rubble and ashes. Though young and naive, Alyssa understood what had happened, and grieved the loss of her father and their people, though she knew he had brought this upon himself. Now orphaned and homeless, Alyssa turned to the deities in hopes of taking shelter in their lands. The Windsinger responded first with his condolences on her loss, and then with acceptance of her into his land. He offered her lair space in the Zephyr Plains, and she gladly accepted. When she arrived at the Plains, she was met by many friendly faces who helped her clear out a space to live, and lent many dragons from their own clans, to help her build hers. For the first time, she felt welcome in a community, and as she named her clan Accendo, she swore to rule her future clan with honor and benevolence to avoid following in her father's steps.
