Somnimancy- the magical art of dream manipulation, creation, and dispelling. Not a common skill, and for good reason- it's considered 'soft' magic by many. Why manipulate something as intangible and flaky as the mind when you could show real skill by manipulating reality? Of course, the best somnimancers realize there is nothing so difficult as changing another's mind, and there is always power in being underestimated.

Summanus is most easily classified as the family disappointment. Loud, disruptive, he took none of his training seriously, and so his understanding of his own powers is hap-hazard at best. Why do his lovers always dream of fireflies after a night of passion? How exactly did he throw that one rival into an entire month of ceaseless nightmares? Why does he himself never seem to need sleep? These are all good questions, and he can’t answer any of them.

A hedonist through and through, Summanus fills his time with lovers, wine and food, paying his way through life with little more than charm and a tongue that’s proven to be quite the renaissance man of its own. But he is never cruel- in fact, Summanus may have the softest heart of all his siblings, and he simply cannot bear distress in other people. He helps as much as he can, piecing together his dim understanding of somnimancy with sheer willpower to get unexpected, though occasionally effective, results.
