Biography

Eeriedeathsent is the right-hand warrior of Deathstryke. She serves as shieldmaiden, confidant, and hunting partner. She is completely devoted to her Mistress and loves her dearly. Anything her Mistress asks of her will be done without question or argument. Deathstryke, in turn, admires not only her devotion, but also her bloodlust. She enjoys having a fellow warrior with just as violent a streak as she has, because it makes them nearly undefeatable in battle.
Eerie had been a mercenary, loyal to none but herself, always ready to serve the highest bidder no matter the job. And she was good at it, too. Highly sought after, she became a bit of a legend during the war. Lords and ladies employed her as a bodyguard, or to serve in their troops. She always made it very clear that her devotion was not to them, but to their coin. She would turn on a moment's notice, sometimes because a better offer had surfaced, but often because she had grown bored with her current job. She traveled far and wide in those days, swearing fealty to no one.

One eventful day, Eerie found herself making camp at the edge of a clearing. She prepared a fire and stashed away her few belongings before going out to hunt. As she returned with a fresh kill, she saw that the clearing was no longer quiet; a battle had broken out. Eerie was astonished! She had only been gone for a few minutes, as game was plentiful here, but she had neither seen nor heard any signs of other dragons for miles. Were they merely scouts that had been ambushed, or was this a planned attack? Had she walked right by hidden guerilla fighters? Eerie watched the commotion excitedly; there wasn't much on this earth that she liked more than watching a fight, except maybe being in one herself. She itched to join in, but not knowing who these dragons were or what their fight was for, she couldn't very well enter the fray now. Especially since she hadn't been paid. As the fight raged on, Eerie found herself captivated by a dark Skydancer female that seemed to be thoroughly enjoying herself. The female was laughing cruelly and shouting orders to her warriors as she herself tore through her opponents with a ferocity Eerie had never witnessed. It was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen.

As the fighting ended and the dust began settling, Eerie watched as the Skydancer stalked among her warriors, offering her thanks and congratulations to each, aiding her injured alongside the healers, embracing them all in turn. She watched how the other dragons looked to her for guidance and leadership, even though she wore no medals or badges of command.
Eerie found herself filled with feelings she could not remember experiencing before. Respect. Admiration. And even...devotion. She realized that this was what she had been missing for so long; direction and purpose. She cared not for what goal these dragons fought, she realized. But she cared very much that she would help them achieve it. She wanted to swear fealty to that violent Skydancer, to pledge her devotion to them and their cause. As long as she could fight alongside that beautiful and bloodthirsty girl, that would be payment enough.

Without even realizing what she was doing, Eerie strode into the clearing and threw herself at the feet of the dark female. "My lady," she said as she knelt, "I have been watching you fight from beyond the trees just there. I have never in my life seen something so magnificent. Please, allow me to join you and your companions in your quest, and I will serve you till my dying day," Her words shocked even her. She had never expected to feel words like this leave her mouth, especially with so much sincerity behind them. It was lucky that she had taken them by surprise in the aftermath of the battle, or she might have been set upon by the soldiers who were currently tending to each others' wounds. As everyone whirled around to assess this new threat, and whispering amongst themselves about this crazy girl and her strange promises to Deathstryke, Deathstryke remained impassive. She regarded the Mirror female coolly.

"You are Eeriedeathsent," she said quietly, but in a tone that suggested disgust. Eerie looked up, surprised that her reputation preceded her even this far into the wilderness, but hopeful that this meant the female would already know how good of a fighter she was. If she knows my name, she knows I can be an asset to her, thought Eerie. "We have no need for mercenaries here. More importantly, I have no need for mercenaries here. All of my warriors are here because of their loyalty to our clan and to each other, not their own treasure hoard,". Her chastisement caused no embarrassment to Eerie, and she was not discouraged. She certainly knew that was true about herself, and before now had even embraced it. That was indeed the trademark of a mercenary. But she was ready to change that for this dragon. Out of the corner of one of her eyes she saw another Mirror like herself, a male, looking at her with great interest. Goodness, he was handsome! But she was focused right now.

"Yes, my lady, there is no denying that I have been a selfish, greedy dragon. I have never cared for anything other than myself and the thrill of the fight. I freely admit that. But seeing you today, my heart has changed. I saw how violently you attacked your opponents, how you showed them no mercy. Such swift and precise strikes, so elegant and deadly, it was beautiful to behold. I want to fight like that with you. All I want is to be a part of that. I think...all I ever really wanted at all was to finally serve someone with an aggression that matches my own. I think you would be the one to understand and appreciate my passion for bloodshed, my lady,"

"Don't call me "my lady". It's Deathstryke," Deathstryke sharply informed Eerie, the cold glint still in her eyes but a very small smile threatening to curl the edges of her mouth upwards, "If you really want a chance to serve with me..."
"More than anything, my lady Deathstryke," Eerie cut in before she could stop herself.
"...Then you will have to prove yourself," Deathstryke continued, "I will need to know that you are truly serious about becoming a warrior for my clan," Eerie immediately rose and ran for her small camp in the woods, returning with her satchel and game that she threw at Deathstryke's feet. "There. That's everything I own in the world right now. I give it to you and your clan. All my treasure, all my possessions. Everything I hold dear. Even my life," she knelt again at these last words. Deathstryke smiled. "Very well then, let's see just how much your loyalty is worth..."
Eeriedeathsent proved herself to be true to her word. She lived for the battle, loving every moment she got to spend fighting with Deathstryke, who did indeed understand her bloodlust. Truly kindred spirits they were. It took some time, but the others did eventually come to trust her as one of their own, especially after she saved them from an ambush and capture one night. For Deathstryke, that trust came when she watched the little Mirror take an arrow for her in the heat of a fight and then wrest the head from the archer before collapsing. As Eerie healed very slowly from her wound, Deathstryke personally tended to her and began confiding in her. As more time passed, Eeriedeathsent became her most trusted warrior and best friend.

Kaznar would eventually court and mate with Eeriedeathsent, becoming a lifebonded pair. He, too, shared in that same level of violent lust for battle and bloodshed, and both proved to be a match for the other. Both find it highly amusing that what brought them together was their love and dedication to their Mistress and the havoc she allows them to wreak on the battlefield. When they fight together, it is a beautiful dance, each one perfectly knowing the others' mind.
