Gwyndolin was brought into the clan as a necessity rather than a follower. After Garwyn's betrayal it was necessary for Yera to hire another dragon to serve as a temporary leader while she focused on 'retrieving' the traitor. Gwyndolin may be young and new to the clan, but to have been entrusted with the leadership of the clan by Yera herself warrants fear and distrust.

She is just as ruthless as her leader, trusted with secrets better left untouched. She distrusts most dragons within the lair and doesn't make any effort to hide it. Conversations are usually full of snarls and threats to stay in line. Tension is high in the clan but Gwyndolin serves to tie it all down until the day comes that she is needed no longer.
