Sugar is a weird one. They insist that they weren't always a dragon and that they used to be a "hooman" or whatever. They don't know how they ended up in a dragon body or why, but they have pretty much given up on going back.
"I like it here. I mean, I don't have to pay my student loan anymore, so there's that. And my cat's with me, it's fine."
They found a cave, a while back, and settled in. Some dragons found shelter there and before they knew it, they had a whole clan sharing their space. They don't mind, really. They like to mother others.
Because of the Clan's origins, there's no criteria to meet to join. You wanna live here? Okay you're in. Just go get food sometimes, clean up your space, and you're good to go. Because of this, the Clan is a big patchwork of breeds, flights and tempers. Sometimes it causes frictions but usually things settle eventually.
Sugar dislikes having to order people around, but this is their cave and people abide to their rules. Though some of them are very weird, like the "no eating any cats ever". Because of that, the lair is crawling with the cheeky little things. Some were taken by dragons as familiars, some are just ferals that come and go as they please...
