LEADER Throw me to the wolves, and I'll come back as their leader
Origins -
Pyrite was a dragon born on a full moon, abandoned by his parents; a lone wolf. He spent his hatching hood wandering around the Wispwillow Grove, surviving from little minnow that he caught from the lakes. He lived a life of solitude. A life of loneliness. One day, when the sun was just about to leave the sickly grey skies, he noticed a bright yellow flower. It was a strange sight to him, as he only sought the glowing blue mushrooms that plagued the grove. His heart was instantly warmed. It felt as if his years loneliness had faded away. His eyes glanced up to reveal a female Mirror of the same, warm colour. He never knew of any other dragons, and even more so mirrors. They never traveled far from the scarred wasteland. "Hey." The mirror called out to Pyrite. Her sweet voice piercing his heart. "Y-you should go back to your own clan" He called to the mirror "Why would I want to do that?" Pyrite and the Mirror-fittingly named Chrysogonum stayed in the shadow territory. The two became great friends, then lovers. Until one day when Chrysogonum suggested something. "Do you want to have our own clan? And even our own hatchlings! It'll be so fun Pyrite~" "I've..Never thought of it." The dream became reality, but not as good as they both predicted. For a short amount of time, it was everything they'd imagined. Pyrite as the clan's leader and Chrysogonum as his queen. That is, until the clan became too large for Pyrite to manage. He had to cast Chrysogonum to the side to maintain his clan. In return, Chrysogonum grew bitter, she was half the dragon she used to be. Pyrite became more and more devoted to his deity, Shadowbinder, sacrificing his hatchlings to the deity, even giving them up before giving them a proper name. It was an honour, yes, but to Chrysogonum it was like murder. Their relationship faltered. However, the universe refused this. Why? Well, that's a tale for another day. (cough will write this part when they're both gened up) |
