"I swear I'm trying"

Wisp is one of the clan's less experienced mages. He holds the beginnings of great talent, but lacks the proper self control and training.

Determined to learn how to control his gift, Wisp studies under both Baron and Chaus, struggling to remember every spell and potion recipe he learns. Occasionally, Seance will try to help along Wisp's learning, making sarcastic remarks even as he adjusts potions and correcting spells. Wisp is never quite sure if he should be listening to the necromancer, but he's helpful, and Wisp needs to learn from someone.

Though he never admits to it, Wisp wonders if he's a disappointment to the clan and to his father, Yosra. He's not the best at magic, nor is he of direct service to Lady Fen like his father, but he does try to be of some use.

Through his studies, Wisp has become close to Nari, an inventor and one of Lady Fens and Baron's sons, the two of them sitting close after Wisps lessons. Listening to Nari's mumblings and tinkering almost helps Wisp relax a bit.
