Since his older brother was more interested in hunting and living in the wilderness, all the responsibility that should have been placed upon the first hatched was instead placed on him. Instead of shirking his duty, Fate obediently assumed the role of oldest brother, and began to assist his parents in caring for his younger brothers. Even though his older brother sneered at this obedience, Fate dutifully devoted himself to his siblings, caring for them like their parents never would. When his brothers left to see the world, Fate decided to leave as well, hoping to find a place where he could continue to care for hatchlings, but without the ever disapproving eyes of his mother.
