Raider

He's a vigilante. Great at fighting and hunting down those he deems not worthy. He's not always in agreement with my clan leader but so far that hasn't evolved into open confrontation.
He's quick on his words and straight to the point. He doesn't really know how to say things indirectly anyway, though he is certainly not quick on judgement.



Why do I end up here? Amidst all these madness?

That's a question Raider had asked himself ever since he decided to join this clan. Well, to say he 'decided' to join probably isn't the most correct term, but close enough that he no longer argues. He was once a guardian of sort to the daughter of a rich and prestigious family. He thought he knew her well from years of time spent with her, but one night she just went missing. And it seemed that someone else was involved. A man perhaps? While the family wasn't too worried about their missing daughter as it was common enough in clans under Shadowbinder, it was a concept lost to Raider as his stubborn mind was determined there was foul play, so he followed her trail, against the will of his former master.

The trail led him around the world in circles. Just as he had almost felt he should give up, he picked up a fresh trail and ended up at the shore of The Sea of A Thousand Currents. During his time of search he had learnt that the daughter of his master had traveled with someone else, an older male, and he was an Ice kin. Raider was sure that she had either been deceived, or she was forced to travel with him against her will. Raider was sure that the cruel icy nature of the Ice kin will do just that to gain whatever he wanted from her, and Raider was worried sick.

Raider looked at the the sea. The calm surface did not give him any comfort. While the mysterious nature of Water kin had provided many wonders and speculations for outsiders, and stories told by those who had the privilege to be invited to a Water clan for visit had always been friendly and cheerful, he just knew there were darker currents lying beneath the calm sea. He did not trust the seemly calm and welcoming sight of the sunny beach.

And this, male, brought his lady down into this dangerous ocean?! How could he! How dare he!

Raider's determination and stubbornness had worked against his better judgement and he plunged into the ocean after them.

Long story short, he found the daughter of his former master. He almost killed that sorry excuse of an Ice kin if not for his former master's daughter to intervene. It took him awhile to accept that the ice kin meant no harm to his lady, and that they ended up under the Sea for good reasons. Raider had sent words to his former master about finding his daughter, but had not heard back from him at all. He can only assume that either the family does not care anymore, or his words had never left the Sea of A Thousand Currents to begin with.

As for the reason that he sent the words instead of going back himself? Mainly because he still doesn't trust the ice kin totally, and the clan they came to call home weren't exactly the top choice in Raider's eyes, so he decided to remain by the side of his lady to make sure of her well being. In truth, he can no longer leave. Like he had suspected, there are darker currents underneath the calm surface of the ocean, and once you got caught in the dark vortex, you have no choice but to go with it. Although going along with it doesn't necessarily mean he has to give up his codes and succumb. His stubbornness will make sure he will always keep true to himself.
