You open Ruuian's notebook and find the following scrawled within
"Nix is one of the more mysterious of the clan. She specializes in potions and brews that have special effects. These effects can range from better eyesight, removal or curses, warts and jinxes, to less helpful things like causing extreme scale shedding, third or fourth eyes, and breath so foul and volatile it withers plants and wears away stone. Luckily, most of her potions only last a few minuets and almost all of them are temporary to some extent. She's not entirely malicious, she just like to... study what results come from her mischievous potions. She appeared along with Jack, though she wasn't caught like he was. Both were accepted into the clan after Kendall vouched for them. (Atl east Kendal vouched for Nix anyway, apparently they are past friends.)"
