Hatchling Caretaker

Aramina is the matriarch of the clan's coatls. Her bright youthful appearance is the only thing that betrays that she is actually younger than several clan coatls. In fact, she was a motherly figure to the little coatl hatchlings even before she became a mother. Her children wander between other clans or serve their deity of choice, except for Luka. Aramina was mortified when she realized that Luka took after her flirtatious father...

Aramina is quick to judge and slow to act, so she never brings things she dislikes about people to anyone but Miss Tori... who then tells Marissa. The clan's terrible rumors come from her half of the time, but she doesn't mean to spread around that Dawn eats Owlets whole like a disgusting Serthis... she just mentions it to her best friend in passing. She'd never insult a hatchling or one of her children in any way, though.

The clan hatchlings try to guess what's under Aramina's mask every year. Only the oldest dragons in the clan know Aramina's secret: when she was young, she wanted to fight everything. She wanted to be just like Marissa and be a powerful mage who could protect the clan. For a short time she fought alongside her clan mates in glorious victories. After an incoming fire spell severely burned her face, though, she gave up on that dream due to eye damage. She grew bitter and the only thing that truly makes her ecstatic anymore is seeing the next generation fulfill their dreams. She's living vicariously.
