Valkyrie is a demon of rage, a warrior who becomes a beserker in the heat of battle. She is, unsurprisingly, very hot tempered and argumentative, and her very presence is enough to ignite tempers. When Valkyrie is around, a simple disagreement between siblings can become a clan-wide bloodbath. Her and Joshua in one room almost always results in death.

Demons refer to a specific breed of spirit, distinct from poltergeists and vengeful spirits. It is believed that they were originally caused by shade taint in the spirit world, which would explain why so many symptoms of demonic possession resemble shade touched symptoms. All demons have pupil-less red eyes - the strength of the colour during possession corresponds to the demons strength. Similarly, a demons physical presence resembles black smoke, but this is only visible in possessed dragons of great strength.

All demons have the ability to possess other dragons, though they may not necessarily be able to overpower their host. The ability to directly tap into, and influence, emotions is not a purely demonic trait, but it is consistent among them as well. Most demons ‘specialise’ in specific emotional qualities - hate, envy, greed etc. Apart from this, a demons magic depends on their host body, as they have no elemental power of their own.
