In the most treacherous places of the world, there will always be life fighting against the odds. Dragonhome has places like these, where the mountains are sharp and unforgiving, their spires piercing the very sky. The mists and clouds will blind one's vision, and not but a slight mistake will cause the stone to slice into you, claiming you once more for the crags.

Much like the very Earth dragons themselves, the mountains are strong, bold, and intimidating. They will not bow nor break. But they can be conquered by those brave of heart and free of spirit. The whistling shrill of their cries, echoing from between the peaks, comes the voices of dragons who have claimed these crags for their own, surviving - and thriving - in a place not meant for them. And they do so willingly.

Soaring through crisp air with such speed and finesse, it's questionable if they are dragons at all. With the wild wind flowing through their manes, and the fate of a daredevil's luck on their side, they will blaze their own trails through these sharp crags and call the devil's nest their home. With painted wings that twist and turn with grace and strength and the purest confidence ever to be bred upon these rugged spires, they are truly a sight to behold.

They are of the Yiruma Skyguard, a select group of dragons who have sworn to protect their home Clan from the dangers that soar above. They are ferocious and unyielding, one with the earth and sky. Their very visage does not leave much for camouflage; they want to be seen, to be feared. They are rugged and ruthless, but they are respectful, and their pride is often a downfall.

Offspring of the Skyguard are born and raised upon the most dangerous cliffsides of Dragonhome, teaching them how to respect powers greater than them, and how to thrive off of them. Upon reaching adulthood, these dragons receive their paint, a brilliant blue shade to resemble the endless skies above that they have mastered, and a deep shade of red of their choice, to resemble the blood they bear and shed, and the lineage they respect so fervently.

Out in the world, they are free to seek adventure in any realm and in any atmosphere, knowing that they have lived in the lands where no one survives. It's always a mystery as to where these offspring go upon adulthood, but it's certain their courage and defiance remain with them, no matter what challenges they face.
