Obsidian

Born in a different land, Obsidian didn't quite fit in as well as she thought. Her beautiful scales went just perfect with her new clan, Shadowclan. Though her background to most is a so called 'mystery', one knows the truth. And that happens to be Azure. At birth, both were born in the same area, and their parents abandoned both of them. Well, Azure's father died and her devastated mother couldn't bare to look at Azure, for she reminded her too much of her mate, and abandoned her. Obsidian's story is a bit more... cruel in a way. Her parents had 3 eggs, meaning she had siblings; to be exact, a brother and a sister. Her brother always seemed content with the littlest things, distracted by the slightest things. Her sister was always keen on battling, as if that was her only interest. Always learning or practicing new moves in case a threat came. "You never know what might strike, so being ALWAYS prepared with the slyest, skillful moves is very important." She would say often. Obsidian though.. she was different. She wasn't as keen on battle moves as her younger sister, or as easily distracted and content as her little brother. She always wanted more, to explore the world that she hasn't ever seen. Discovering new lands was always exciting for her, and she took the chance whenever she could. Her parents seemed to disagree. They never wanted to have dragons of their own, let alone 3. Having to do the supposedly "laborious" job of taking care of them, when they couldn't keep Obsidian satisfied really didn't help the sitsuration. Often she would scolded and, depending on how often she attempted to explore, get neglected. At one point, she successfully explored a new land. When she came back to where they had settled, her parents were furious as she had expected. Her parents were so outraged they neglected her for over a week, making her have to learn how to care for herself. Her siblings noticed this "treatment" going on, yet they never helped, scared they might be treated and neglected like her too, which later in life they both regretted never standing up for her, considering she always did for them. Her parents later that month made a decision to completely disown and leave Obsidian, hoping for her death to be brutal or quick. When they discussed with her siblings, Granite and Luzile, they were in utter shock and refused to leave their sister to die alone. Fed up with their childs' refusement, they left them alone, abandoning them, hoping they died and left the very earth that they knew so well, yet mostly towards Obsidian they put their hatred out on, never liking her and at birth, almost throwing the hatchling perhaps off a cliff or throwing her into a forest where the bigger predators could feast. When they woke up that fateful day, they blamed Obsidian on their parents leaving them, and drove her far out of her territory, and which then she found Azure. Azure had somewhat a familiar background, and they soon became fond of each other. Now Pbsidian only considers Azure as family, all her past and true family meant nothing to her, like a leaf falling from a tree, only to get trampled on and crushed, being no more then that. She grown lonely and dark over the years alone, and wasn't used to company besides Azure. An empty hole within her heart always nagged her, as if she missing someone in her life. She had this feeling ever since she was born, and to this day nothing has filled this gap. To her surprise, Azure wasn't what she was missing. Often she sits away from most of her clanmates, often hanging out with Azure. Every night she seemed to practically cry herself to sleep, yet no tears would shed. The aching gap never stopped, and she never felt happy. Not a single feeling a joy had crossed her mind for so long. Never smiled, never laughed, and felt only a few main emotions. Sure, she 'laughed and smiled' yet they meant nothing. She never truly felt happy, for the aching hold only seemed to get bigger as life carried on. She was consumed in a what seemed to be a forever darkness that surrounds her and never leaves. A invisible jaw always biting into her heart, never letting her rest, feeling pain, sorrow, and loneliness seep into her soul, her eyes reflecting a grim version of her. Her emotions always bottled up within her, including any anger or grief. Her familiar died during a battle, which made the gap she had always felt double the size, and not even Azure could get a close attempt of patching it up. Always alone, darkness always surrounded her, grief and death clinging in the air wherever she went, for some say her heart became broken, while others say the damage is unfixable. Around her other sympathized, for a growing loneliness and darkness always was haunting her, for she could never escape this darkness arising. One dragon may patch up this gaping hole, or will fail sand simply widen the already huge hole that seemed to be impossible to fix.
