Nergui was made in a time when God barely held a corporeal form. A faceless entity bent on remaining anonymous. And once God began to take shape and direction upon the secular, he was there to protect it, direct it. Be an example of the unshakeable, show the whims and wonders of the world sprung from Its mind.
Eventually, God stood on its own.
Affection and attention decline in time, but that doesn’t mean there is no hurt. And the looming threat of oblivion that comes to the forgotten remains.
But he exists, still. Recent events show that desire to keep him relevant, but for one so favored long ago, falling to the level of base Dustlander irks and stings a degree.
