 B I O G R A P H Y
"Now, see, the most fascinating aspect of the Wind dragons, aside from the drastic and unique make-up of the Plateaus, is their seemingly never-ending thirst for travel. It's intriguing, isn't it?"
A young Imperial dragon who is as intelligent as she is green (and she's quite green). Fern came to the Radiant Hollow as a hatchling, along with her brother-figure, Voleante. The two were taken in by Socrates and Xena, and were personally taught by the two Tundras, learning how to read and write as they learned more about the world around them. Fern looks up to Socrates greatly, and dedicated herself to her academic and philosophical pursuits to become more like him. Eventually, her hard work and incredible intellect were recognized, and Fern was granted with the honor of being a Leading Scholar, a position given to dragons who have shown dedication and perseverance in discovering the mysteries of the world.
Fern was the first Leading Scholar, and as such, is treated with great respect by the other residents. She presides over everything relating to the Wind flight, and continuously researches the culture and workings of Wind dragons. Despite her enthrallment with the flight of her birth, Fern is still content to remain in the Light flight nonetheless, and plans to remain as a member of the Radiant Hollow for a long time to come. When she is not occupied with her duties, Fern keeps herself busy with either her two hatchlings, or her childhood friends, Voleante and Cheren (who is also her mate). A bit of an introvert; Fern is easy to embarrass, especially over the fact that jokes often fly over her head. She has a rivalry with Calufray, the Leading Scholar of Shadow.
