The heavy burden of the crown fell to the stern and watchful shoulders of Queen Regent Eriinae the Just, following the passing of her mother Queen Laelia to serve the Plaguebringer. She takes after her mother closely, with a firm but fair grip on the laws of the Clan Under the Red, intolerant of disorder and swift to punish enemies of the crown, but also mindful to show gratitude to friends and allies. Normally ruling with a Fae's characteristic apparent dispassion, the only place where she shows true emotion is in her heartfelt dedication to the Church of Unity and her reverence for all the gods. She knows it is up to her to maintain the crown as long as possible, because she knows her daughter's fanatical ways could threaten the clan's delicate balance.
