Cicero is the appointed Keeper of the Black Hand, and is charged with tending to the Night Mother's shrine located in the Sanctuary's Hall of Worship deep, deep below the main living caverns where his fellow family members reside. He is a zealous worshiper of the Unholy Matron and a devout servant of Her Listener, whom he places his full confidence in. He never questions their orders, and remains ever eager to satisfy and kill in their honor with nothing less than a bright smile on his face. Though he takes his job as a Keeper very seriously, Cicero himself is anything but so. He typically dons a jester outfit, and uses colloquialisms generally reserved for entertainers and thespians. He is erratic and unpredictable, with a bizarre habit of referring to himself in the third person and a love for breaking out into spontaneous fits of song and dance. Cicero is also known to talk to the Night Mother's effigy whilst working in the Hall by himself. These mannerisms earn him more than his fair share of rolled eyes and sardonic remarks from some of his dark brethren, however the few that know of his ironically dark past hold nothing but sympathy--and even a degree of respect--for this jubilant Spiral. |
