Iguana's life was pretty average, for a Plague raised dragon. You'd wake up, fight for food, relax in the sun's harsh rays and buffering winds, fight in the afternoon, and exchange scary stories. The last part was especially true due to her parentage, and so scary storytelling was a fun pastime during her travels. She'd find scary tales, false or true, from every dragon she could find.

Though Iguana was born a Snapper, she had been admiring of the way a Spiral had constricted her in a fight, and taken off like a rocket as soon as she tried to retaliate. Saving up and scrounging money any way she could, she finally found a merchant who was willing to charge her for a cheap scroll - on one condition. The strange Guardian had pulled a somewhat large mirror out of her pack, just after pulling out the magical Spiral Scroll. In exchange for the very, very low price, Iguana would have to take the mirror as well.

To Iguana, frankly, this was a great deal. She figured she'd hang it in her lair, regardless of having to lug the thing around until she got there. The breed change was quick and painless (somewhat to her disappointment) and she quickly took the skies for a practice flight, only to be slammed back to the ground immediately after. Dazed and confused, she looked to the deceptive Guardian who was cackling and joyfully told Iguana that she was free of the Mirror's Curse. Without another word, the mysterious dragon took off without another word.

Being stuck with a cursed mirror wasn't the worst that could be done to her, Iguana thought optimistically. Eventually the entity in the mirror awoke and would even help in her storytelling. While still walking back from the far edges of the southern regions of the wastes, Iguana and her mirror companion happened upon an Acid Tongue Serpenta who was agitated by a Skydancer and a Plague Disciple. Though they were rare, it wasn't rare for a Disciple of Plaguemother to hang around nearer to the Wyrm Wound. It wasn't until Iguana saw the color of the Skydancer's eyes that she realized that if she got bitten by that Serpenta she would die.

Not knowing what drove her, some instinct inside of her pushed her off the ground with a cry to attack the poisonous beast, which had struck at the dragon in front of her. After scaring off the Serpenta as any Plague rearing dragon would have easily done, she was surprised to find that the Skydancer, Leyra, was fine (both literally and aesthetically, Iguana found). After a brief explanation of the situation, Iguana volunteered to make it up to her to find the venom she was looking for and then some.

She quickly fell for Leyra, and was a jittery mess when Iguana found out she loved scary stories and tales of mystery. After their journey was over, another had begun when she quickly agreed to come back with Leyra to the Spriggan Hearth to join her as an assistant and mate for life.
