Oh, wow, missing an arm? Here, let me lend you a hand! Ha!

Medhurst came from a family of brawlers. One of her sisters looked nearly identical to Medhurst and she went on to become an incredibly skilled warrior. Medhurst wanted nothing more than to stay by her side; the only logical option, of course, was to train as a healer so she could be stationed with her sister and keep an eye on her.

And then, suddenly, her sister disappeared. No warning, no note, just the loss of Medhurst's only inspiration and love. After a few frantic weeks spent searching, Medhurst packed up her things and left.

Along the way, she ran into another Spiral named Maelon. Maelon was also searching for something, though he wouldn't say what, and he decided to travel with her. They stumbled across the fledgling Clan Retiiri. In those very early days, the clan was still forcefully carving themselves out a place in the unforgiving food chain of the Wandering Contagion and many of those dragons bore injuries related to the brutal nature of the Plaguebringer's domain.

These dragons asked no questions and demanded no answers. Medhurst was home. She got right to work.

Maelon decided to stick around with her and one thing led to another and soon the two were hopelessly in love. They remain well-established as healers of the clan as well as two of the most sarcastic and scathing dragons in all of the Contagion.

Medhurst is one of four healers for the clan. She focuses mostly on healing injuries rather than any sort of magical defense or offense. She was also the first healer to join the clan, making most of the other healers look up and defer to her.

Amdsen respects the tiny Spiral very much; he enjoys hanging around her and watching her work. Medhurst thinks he's too soft and likes to tease him about how gentle he is with hatchlings whereas the Spiral is more likely to forget they're there and step on them.

Maelon, her mate, learned everything he knows from her. It was only natural he become a healer after he learned so much about them from her.

Sempra and Medhurst don't socialize very much; Sempra focuses mainly on the alchemical portion of healing and not so much on its actual practice. However, the two often work together to develop new and improved poultices and remedies.
