Biography
A poet of the desert. She often writes of the lightning storms and sand storms that sweep through.
The quiet poet never gave much thought to the boisterous skydancer. In face, she put effort into keeping her thoughts from straying to anything but her work. She served the area, looking for any new storms. She always knows the very second because of a rain obsessed fae but she look even still. She could see a strange shining coming from the sands. 'That's odd.'
Limestone walk through the lair out to the sands. 'The shining had been coming from over there.' As she neared, a wild creature tore up to her. She had been versed in fighting but the creature was strong. She tried hard but the creature attacked when she tried to mediate. Suddenly, a blur came jumping onto the creature.
He fought with it and tore at it. The thing tried to get a hold of him but couldn't through the armor. He threw it off and it ran away.
'Are you okay?' It was Ore. The boisterous skydancer.
'Ye.yes. I'm okay now. Thank you.'
'Cool. I was wondering what you were up to and saw what happened. Here, I'll take a look at that.' He took her arm. Her armor took most of the damage but she was still bruised.
'I'm not strong enough to heal yet but you look good.'He smiled at her. She blushed.
'Thank you again.' She walked pass him toward the lair. He followed.
'I remember you did some coliseum work but I always see you bent over a piece of paper more often.'
'Yes, I'm the clan's poet and scribe.'
'I knew that. But you did look pretty cool out there.'
She gave him much thought in the coming days. And it seemed, so did he. Maybe this might work out.
Light..Fills your eyes
On this plain of sand
Dim, the light fades
Bight, the light shines
Hold me, flickering
I burn and move
My light..fills your eyes
Sand is filling my heart
An hourglass reaching full
It tilts and shakes
Trying to fill faster
I quake, I am scared
A rain comes down
And I am washed away
I land on a beach
How calm, collect
It holds me still
Never to let me go
I am home
Springtime comes to the vast sands,
Sweet and still like dew drops.
The night falls and the spring is here.
But where is the spring?
In this vast desert of rolling sands,
Spring is but a dew drop at night.
Never to be seen, or cared for.
I walked to the forest edge
To where waters lapped at me.
Shallow was it, wide the emptiness;
Between myself and the tree.
I looked up to grasp the vine.
I bent down to cup the waters.
Nothing is within my grasp.
Too shallow, Too tall.
Am I the empty space?
