Once Kalmazar had different colored scales and beautiful green eyes. Kalmazar was adventurous lad, who was curious to see what lays ahead. However in one day Kalmazar was adventuring in Scarred Wasteland. He went too close to a wyrmwound and fell down in there. It was a miracle that Kalmazar survived, but felling down in the wyrmwound caused his scales to turn radioactive green and his eyes turned white as he became blind.
Kalmazar became a silent wanderer in plague region. During dark hours his scales glows faintly and he is carrying a lanter with him to guide lost dragons away from danger.

Once during his endless wandering Kalmazar encountered a Serthis potionmaster which was awfully close to the wyrmwound. The serthis almost fell in there, but quickly Kalmazar managed to grab it and carry in the safety. At the moment Kalmazar was mistaken, as he though the Serthis was just a another dragon. The Serthis was thankful for it's life being saved so it started to follow Kalmazar. The serthis also borrows his eyes for the dragon, meaning he tells if there's something ahead or what something looks like.
