Biography

Glitch: "You'll just pop in and pop out," they said. "It will be fun," they said. "You'll come back in one piece," they said. WELL I'M NOT BACK IN ONE PIECE, AM I? *rolls eyes*

Glitch came to our lair seeking refuge after a freak accident at the lab her dad worked at, after which everyone she knew and loved turned her away. Her dad had been researching dimensional travel, and pulled the short straw when it came down to who will test the machine meant to travel through parallel worlds. Tricked into the position by the scientists there, Glitch travelled to one of many parallel worlds, and what she found there astounded her. However, on the way the way back the machine malfunctioned, so a part of her is still the parallel world while at the same time being a part of this one, resulting in her glitch-like appearance.

When Glitch arrived, she explained it like this: She has become a "virus" (although she's not from plague, Arkana noted), and the "anti-virus system" is hunting her down to annihilate her, which she would prefer not happened.

At this point she leaned back in her chair and it scattered into little numbers.

Although she didn't understand the explaining bit, she did understand that Glitch had the power to destroy anything, and the tactical advantages that came with that, so she hastily agreed, as long as Glitch didn't damage the lair any further.

Now Glitch wanders around, trying to keep her powers in check. Her overwhelming sass, although born from the bitterness of the travel, is popular with other dragons. She is quite the social dragon, and always likes to have some form of attention. Sometimes, she likes to frighten others with her glitches and gets a real kick out of it.

Han threw his hands up and leaned back in his chair in celebration. After long last, he was finally done! Gazing at the contraption sitting in front of him with his colleagues by his side, he reflected on all the low points of his life that brought him to this moment. Finally his time has come to prove to the world that they had been wrong! Let his competitors grovel in despair while they watch him steam ahead to fame, glory and of course, treasure. He was comfortably playing with his imagination when suddenly, the dreaded question came from one of his colleagues in the darkness.

"So? Who's going to test it?"
...

Han looked down at the short straw in his hand.

"But...but I can't go in there! I'm too old! Plus I'm your boss! What if something bad happens to me?"

"Well sir, with all due respect, that is not a problem for us to solve. It's fine for all of us if the machine remains untested," came the snark reply.

Hans thought for a moment. His employees were right to some extent. Most of them were completely uninterested in the project they were working on, and him hurting himself would only lead them to celebrate their freedom from this "dumb" project. He, however, wanted results. Something he could show the world! Maybe if he sent someone else...
...

Glitch had been talking with her best coatl friend when the fae messenger from her father in the lab arrived. At that point in time, life had been going relatively poorly for her. She had an adequate number of friends, but lived in a shack and had approximately one meal a day because her selfish father wouldn't give them his salary to make ends meet, instead pouring all his funds into his dumb mystery science project.

"Good Afternoon, Ms Glitch," He said, stoutly. "Your father would like you to meet him for a party in his lab. He finally finished his worlds-traveller!"

Glitch was immediately suspicious. Her father had never really done anything to help her family, so why would he be inviting her to a party now? However, her friend urged her to go. After all, if he decides to show you compassion after all these years, what kind of fool would you be to turn that down? Glitch thought for a moment, then started to get ready.
...

The messenger fae disappeared somewhere near the supposed location of the lab in all the fog surrounding it. Glitch flew around for awhile, determined to celebrate her father's achievement. After sometime, she came across her fathers lab. Towering white spindles were not dulled, but shone in the cloudy fog, rising from a magnificent, castle-like structure. Glitch landed at the front entrance, proceeded to knock, then entered when she heard no response.

"...Dad? I'm here for your celebratory party... Congratula-"

Glitch was cut short as she was overwhelmed by the sight of her father in the process of casting a fossilize... on the ground directly underneath her. Han smiled the most false and terrifying smile Glitch had ever seen in her life.

"Now, dearie, I want you to stay very calm..."

Everything went dark.
...

When she woke up again, Glitch was strapped to a chair connected to a weird machine. Despite her perilous situation, she couldn't help but study it. Odd bits and bobs stuck out from an arching frame, connected by various wires of sorts and cooled through water. The room she was in was poorly lit, but she could make out the outline of her father and several of his scientist employees.

"Subject condition...check. Machine status...check. Maintenance is not needed," went a monotone voice from the relative darkness. Suddenly, Han stepped out of the shadows. Glitch saw a mad glint in his eye. He was no longer her father.

"Listen, I know you're scared, but there's nothing to be afraid of! You'll just pop in, pop out, come back in one piece! Think of it as vacation" He exclaimed. Glitch tried to kick him, but her legs wouldn't reach far enough.

"LIAR!" She screamed back. "If this was so safe, why won't any of you cowards do it yourself?" Hans eyes narrowed sharply.

"Impudent little child. I will not be sad to see you gone." He flicked the activation switch, and grinned. "Have a nice time!"

Slowly but surely, Glitch's vision was surrounded by the most obnoxious shade of cyan possible. As she made dragon history, she also saw what exactly her world as she knew was really made of. She saw EVERYTHING.
...

Glitch woke up on a concrete pavement, next to a lamp post, outside a wooden house. Except she didn't know what any of those things are and thought they were all monsters. After making sure that she wasn't killing anything by stepping on anything important and after she was done freaking out about the situation she was in, she surveyed the area. The sky was sapphire blue, and little white clouds dotted the horizon. The wooden house turned out to be a whole row of wooden houses, and when darkness fell, the lamp post lit up the surrounding area. The populating species, to her surprise, was humans, of all creatures. While there were some back in Sornieth, she never thought them to be strong enough to rule a world. To her surprise, while she seemed to be the only dragon, none of the humans seemed to be startled by her appearance. When she turned to tap them on shoulder to ask for directions, she soon discovered why. She completely fazed through them, and exclaimed in surprise as her paw hit the ground. None of the humans seemed to hear her. Then by that logic...

Glitch turned around the ran into the house behind her, but her contact with it made itself known with a resounding bang as she fell onto the floor.
...

Grumbling, Glitch rubbed her head. It's such a pity she couldn't run right through everything; It was her dream since a hatchling. After recovering, she opened the door and went in to see what was inside. Finding a nice giant cushion (a sofa), she made herself comfortable and waited to see what would happen next.
...

Undel was not having the best of days. First, her web project was down yet again, presumably caused by an overloading of the database, something Mutron and Akiri promised to work on as soon as possible, maybe after a quick bite to eat. Then, she may or may not have done the mistake of forgetting to save on a piece of art, wasting all the progress of the past hour. And now, she also may or may not have heard a massive smash that cracked some of her ceramic ware. While berating herself for her basic error that just cost her time, she went to check on her plates. Most of them were fine. Most. She sighed the its-been-a-long-day-and-I-need-a-vacation sigh.
...

Glitch watched in amusement as the motherly looking female with glasses grabbed a few pans, cooked herself some dinner, then sat down on the sofa to rest. Noticing she got food from a white box, Glitch got up from the sofa, opened the box, and was greeted by the lovely smell of fish. She quickly located it and gobbled it down. Then she returned to her seat.
...

At midnight, Glitch watched as the human sat in front of her and started typing. Undel worked on the scheduled half and hour maintenance, unaware of the rather unannounced visitor looking at her every move. Glitch remembered the mass of words and numbers she saw before she passed out. Was this what it was? Was this meek human... actually in control of the entirety of Sornieth? Fascinated and horrified, she continued watching Undel. Suddenly the doorbell rang, and Undel, supposing it was the 24-hour pizza delivery, got up to get it. Knowing this was something she wanted to go back to in the future, Glitch searched up her name (She knew how to do so because she took a class in electronics back at home), found her page (How unbelievable, she thought), then carefully typed in a line of text. After an hour more, she slowly fell asleep, and her vision swirled cyan.
...

On her way back, Glitch heard an unnerving sound: The sound of an alarm.

"Alert. System malfunctioning. Alert. System malfunctioning." The monotone female voice repeated ominously.

"SHUTDAP," screamed Glitch. "IT'S NOT LIKE YOU'RE HELPING ARE YOU?!"
...

On the other side, the scientists were running around, frantic as anything.

"Sir!" One shouted over the din the machine was making. "It seems not doing maintenance before activating the machine is causing it to have problems! Your daughter might not get out alive!"

Which was fine as long as Han was concerned.
...

Glitch remerged in her chair, safe and sound, and waited for the smoke to clear. The dragons in the room, bewildered, looked dazed for a moment before scrambling to get a recording device of some sort to record Glitches initial reaction. Hans smiled and walked confidently to his daughter.

"So? How was the trip?"

"No." Glitch had enough. She wasn't going to let her father sweet talk her now. Tearing herself from her bonds, she expelled a wave of electric energy that blew all the scientists back, including her father. Now she tested that little line of text she entered into herself in the other world. All the scientists stood back in awe as they watched her rip apart the fabric of Sornieth space and mess around with it.

Her eyes flashed cyan as she smiled the same malicious smile she knew would haunt her dreams on her fathers face for a long, long time, then said sweetly, "I think this place needs a little redecorating, don't you?"
...

She tried out every torturing method she could on every scientist. First she swapped around the gravity in the room, of course leaving herself unaffected, while making the rest of the scientists sick. Then, she spawned a bunch of abyss strikers everywhere. After she was done playing around for a while, she turned the whole building into a wooden into a wooden structure, locked the rest of the dragons inside, then materialised a firestarter in her hand and watched the structure light up as an amazing bonfire.
...

"Miss Glitch, did you set this laboratory on fire?" The dragon in front of her asked, at her door. He had a stern expression on his face, and scribbled a few notes before looking back at her again. Glitch thought about her response for about 5 seconds, smiled her guilty smile, then zoomed off.

"Stop! Stop in the name of the Stormcatcher!" He shouted, chasing after her. Glitch turned behind to look. She was certain he was never going to catch up, but when she turned her attention back to the front, she realised she was going to crash into a tree. Glitch closed her eyes and braced for the impact, but it never came. When she opened them again, she was back in the human world!

"What? But how?" Glitch blinked, and she was back flying again, but now in a position after the tree she was going to crash into. Her eyes gleamed as she fully comprehended the extent of her powers.

"Now we're getting somewhere!"

Glitch: Hey Cosmos, you know your guy controlling us theory?

Cosmos: Yeah? I swear to you I'm right.

Glitch: I want to show you something *Glances at the time* Now should be right.

Cosmos: What? What's right?

Glitch: *glitches with Cosmos, showing him Undel working on rollover, then glitches back*

Cosmos: *gasps* I was right! There are humans controlling us!

Glitch: Do you know why I'm showing you all this? *pause* Because no dragon would ever believe you.

Cosmos: *Considers this possibility*

Cosmos: ...Glitch you are a monster
