Biography

Nucleon refers to one of the protons or neutrons of an atomic nucleus. It is also a fakemon in the Pokemon fangame, Pokemon Uranium. Nucleon has the distinction of being a non-feral Nuclear-type Pokemon and also a force to contend with, thanks to having a Nuclear-type Hyper Voice. Nucleon's flames are slightly different from an average fire dragon's. It is still orange-red but his burns with a far greater intensity. It is capable of liquidizing foes in a single blast. However, this immense power comes at a cost, as Nucleon can only fire these devastating blasts a few times a day before completely exhausting himself. Even if he is brought to an area with large amounts of fire magic to recharge, he will not gain another blast until he sleeps for at least eight hours. These blasts also have a residual effect similar to massive outbreaks of arcane magic. The immediate area around the blast zone will become irradiated. Dragons that get too close will begin to feel nauseous and may vomit. If they stay around for too long, they will lose their feathers, hair, or scales, become disoriented, have terrible headaches and weaken. Long-term exposure can result in death. As such, Nucleon uses his magic only as a last resort. Some of the clan fears his terrible power, but Arceus and Greninja ensure that he doesn't feel too isolated. W.D. Gaster is looking into how his power could be harnessed to provide massive amounts of electricity, along with how to deal with irradiated soil and waste. |
