Biography

epwiYCv.png Nightshade
Male | God of All Dragons | Controls electricity

"I watched, dumbstruck, as the creature emerged. It was black as night, maybe even darker. It's eyes looked unnatural- glazed over, as the entire forest hushed to silence. It raised it's lip, giving out a snarl that echoed throughout. Never in my life had I seen a dragon so feral."

Rider: Ace Elefern.

Nightshade is believed to be the first dragon in history- his primal instinct and hardwired will for survival is unmatched by any creature. It's also believed he is a God. When entering the presence of other dragons, a respectful silence falls upon all except the beast.

Nightshade was first discovered by Ace Elefern, a spelunker and cave explorer, in an unexplored Brazilian cave. Upon finding the comatose creature, ace showed him off to the world. Many eyes were turned toward North America (Ace's homeland) as dragons suddenly arose from seemingly nowhere. It is believed that Nightshade's awakening caused the rise of the dragons.

Nightshade's power is believed to be endless, though nothing has provoked him to use his maximum. He boasts a unique and unheard of ability to summon lightning and thunder storms. Though it's unknown how he can cause a thunder storm to appear, it's believed he summons electricity from his massive wings. As he glides through the clouds, they gather electricity and presumably store it within the spines on his back.

Nightshade's appearance is very notable from distances. He is one of the few black dragons, though even compared to others he is considerably darker. His wings have a slightly lighter coloration on the inside that can only be seen in the light. He has small yet sharp yellow spines running from the back of his head to the tip of his tail. In the dark, these glow slightly.

Though all of these things are very head-turning about him, perhaps his oddest feature about him would be his temperament. This dragon is immensely wild. He is known to even turn against Ace. His temperament is so bad, he's very often mistaken for a feral or rabid dragon. Perhaps stemming from this, his diet stands out as well. Though most large dragons eat meat of any sort, Nightshade has been known to turn to cannibalism.
