Zhi

Like many of his kin he has left his nest on his journey to find his purpose The Search. Having hailed from the Water lands his people had a knack for seeing many prophecies of the world. one that caught the eye of the curious dragon was the future battle that was to take place at what looked to be a towering Citadel near the edges of the Verdant Labyrinth.

Though interesting this vision was, it was not the first nor would it be the last Zhi would see. Months passed after having his vision that word had managed to reach them that sections of the Labyrinth had fallen under attack by another Flight. The most devastated of areas was a soaring tower called Marshwood Citadel. Had his vision come true? He wondered to himself. With the time of his Search at hand he had decided that he would go in search of this great tower and the dragons that lived within.

In his travels along the way he traveled thru the lands of Shadow and Light seeing and learning little bits and pieces he could about each of the Flights in the area until finally upon the Horizon he caught a glimpse of of the great tower and drew a sigh of relief, his long journey is finally near its end.

Upon reaching the edges of marshwood Zhi was was halted in his place by another dragon whose coat of fur and scale was much like his in color but much brighter. He was moderately armored in the fashion to appear as agile and intimidating as the body of a Tundra dragon can look.

"What is your business here in the Marshwood?" the Tundra spoke, "I come seeking the lead dragon of this land to learn and possibly settle here if i find my journey worthwhile here" Zhi replied. "I'll ask again..why are you here?" said the Tundra in a slightly more harsh tone. Seeing as many flights know of the Search many guardians go on he felt this was his last attempt to try and sway this dragon to see reason with his request. "I come to this land during my Search and seek a purpose here" Zhi said with a slight hint of frustration this time.

"I will permit this entrance one time Dragon..but know this.. the Eyes of the Prime are upon you. Make a mistake and I will see to it you are to never return to this land.". With this the Tundra headed back in the direction to another area of the Marshwood in what seemed like he was watching and guarding the land. "Whats your name Tundra?" Zhi yelled before he could get out of hearing a reply. "Astraeus" the Tundra replied as he slipped further and further away.

"Astraeus..." Zhi thought.."What really happened here to cause these Dragons to be weary of travelers? even those on the Search?". Such were the questions he had in his mind but he decided to put them aside to ask the real dragon he could get answers from.

Upon arriving in the outskirts of the Tower in one for the open spots of a dense forest he saw a small settlement of Dragons and thought he might find answers here..but he was mistaken as he was met with the same type of untrustworthy looks received from the many dragons. to his luck though he managed to at least get the name of who he was searching for Zorjhan.

As the day grew later with hardly any luck on getting information from the people he managed to catch a glimpse of Two Dragons being followed by scores of other Dragons from the city, one being of a Brilliant purple coat of scales that impressed even Zhi, she wore a pure white dress with a colorful arrangement on her forehead and arm representing what appeared to from the Arcane dragons to the west. The second seemed to be a fairly basic dragon in the colors of the forest, the body being of the murk variety and wings the color of the sand on the sea shore which took him back to remembering the warm sands of his birth home.

Obviously these dragons were important he decided..now if he could simply get there attention some how..it was at this moment that a small Green owl flew on a small tree trunk where Zhi stood. "Lookin for something?" the little owl spoke. "How can one get an audience with such dragons as those two?" Zhi asked politely. "Those two?" the owl replied. "Why simply going up to them as asking them is always the easiest way".

"Everybody loves those two..gain favor in there eyes and you'll even gain an encounter with the lord of these lands". With that kind of news Zhi knew it was now or never to take matters into his own hands.

Zhi immediately took flight in the direction of the two beautiful dragons. Landing not far from them but being somewhat larger then the dragons he was around, the Two caught a glimpse of Zhi and his crystalline scales which caught Sakoi's attention most of all. "What can we do for you stranger?" spoke Sakoi. "I am on my Search and seek an audience with the Lord of these lands" Zhi spoke with charm and respect that pleased these two young dragons. "Oh? you mean my Father??" Spoke the dragon with the sand like wings. It was at this moment Zhi realized he was speaking to the heiress of the land and immediately bowed in respect while mumbling to himself "What and idiot i am..how could i not realize the obvious?"

"Looks like we got a mumbler Sakoi" said the heiress with a chuckle in her voice that caused the both to have smiles on there faces. "I am Carin, heiress to the Marshwood Citadel. Pleased to meet you..." she paused waiting for a response since they had not been properly introduced. "I am Zhi from the Sea of a Thousand Currents traveling to find my purpose..my Search". "This is Sakoi my friend who has returned from spending time in the Neverdark learning from the Dragons there."

"I think if we leave now we might be able to speak with father before he leaves for his watch." Carin Replied. "May we?" said Zhi, "Of course, he is probably in the court of the Alphas." Carin said with a smile.

It took but a few minutes in flight to get to the entrance of the Citadel where they were met by the guards at the entrance. "We come to see my Father with our guest" Carin said to the guards. The guards immediately opened the doors to a vast and open cavern filled with trees and all manners of life with a series of magical images of the previous Lords of the tower. A short distance past them in what appeared to be a Circular forest with 5 large trees comprising of the largest part of this section of the court with each of the Trees having what was wooden carved seats with all manner of flora and plant life living in and out side of the very seats.

The largest of these stood in the Center with a Dragon sitting over looking everything that came in and out of this room. "May i present to you the Lord of Marshwood and Guardian of these lands. Zorjhan" said Carin with the respect any dragon had but with a tone of love and admiration thrown in.

"You may come forward and speak Zhi of the thousand currents" Spoke Zorjhan with such confidence that Zhi was surprised that he knew his name..let alone knew what lands he was from. For he had only just mentioned it to the pair of dragons he was accompanied by.

"I have begun my Search as a Guardian and seek to find a purpose in these lands." Zhi said with a slight timid style since he was still curious as to how he got this information so quickly. "This isnt the first time you named has been echoed in these halls stranger..but if you seek a place here amongst my flight you must first do something for me to gain my favor and trust."

"I have a message that I wish to be sent to some friends of mine in the Neverdark..take it to a member of the Council of Six and bring me the Response from all of them. Only then will I consider your request." said Zorjhan "It is important that this message reach no one else but you and a member of that Ruling Council..do you understand?"

"Yes" Zhi replied. "When shall I expect to leave?", "Immediately..seek out my small companion..he will fill you in on all of the necessary details". Zorjhan commanded and with that Zorjhan took flight down a corridor past the court to begin his watch.

"I guess we will have to learn more about you upon your return Zhi" spoke Sakoi and Carin. "Till next we meet". With that the two left to an open path with many chambers lined in the walls.

"Welp, I guess its time I better get going" said Zhi as he flew in the direction towards the Neverdark..getting closer and closer to finally finding his purpose.
