In order to make himself useful to the Clan, early on Cream started with occasionally dabbling in alchemy. He never liked the term Alchemist, and since he only did things to brew potions, he dubbed himself a Potion Brewer. They other dragons were fine with this, until they brought in a few newcomers that came from Clans that had Alchemists, who would comment on it. Some sneered at him, some mocked, and some would simply scoff and try to fight him on this. Icarus tried to make them stop, but that never seemed to stop them, so Cream reluctantly just. Got used to it. That is, until Misha joined. The young Coatl never once made fun of him for his preference, and would come to his defense when she could. She quickly took on the position of a Clan Mage, and was always glad to call on the Potion Brewer for any potions she would potential require in her magic. This easy friendship eventually grew into a romance, and now the two are usually seen together; even more than they were before. Shortly after Misha laid their first nest, Cream officially got around to meeting Celeste. He was courteous to the young Spiral, but she was always snapping at him. They quickly drew into a bit of a complicated sort of hatred, and when it resulted in hatchlings they grew even more agitated with one another. Cream would really rather not have to be near her, but that's just how it works. If anything, it helps keep his frustrations in check. They take their anger out on each other when necessary, and sometimes results in new hatchlings for Celeste to raise and send off into the world. Raerek and Sayvil, on the other hand, are a bit more complicated. The two of them have nothing but pure hatred for one another. Cream, on his behalf of this kind of relationship, is purely there to make sure they don't manage to kill one another. There's no potential good coming out of their hatred like Cream's with Celeste, and so he's here to make sure their hatred doesn't get out of control and destroy the Clan from the inside. Sometimes they begrudgingly get along, but most of the time, if Cream wasn't there to mend the hatred between them when he could, they'd probably end up killing each other. Now Uma, on the other hand. Uma was a less likely combination. Cream and Uma met through the Clans combining to form such a big Hatchery, it was expected that some friendships would come out of it. Cream ended up - quiet literally - bumping into the Alchemist Fae during this time, and they've been pretty attached since. She's very insistent that he is an Alchemist, not a Potion Brewer, and while he still argues back against this, they've fallen into a fairly easy friendship. He's fond of her company, and is just overall glad to have a friend that does mostly the same as he does. |
