Biography
Storm’s colors remind one of a thundercloud just as the sun goes down, complete with fluffy stratus cloud and hot blue lightning. Despite his wild colors, he is the more relaxed of Dawn’s two eldest sons. A shy child, he likes to help his mother out with her work, either by mixing healing concoctions together or hunting for crystals with his fine-tuned nose.
Patients adore him, and if they’re polite enough, sometimes they can coax him into reading to them. While he may someday want to leave the clan, he’s not nearly as vocal with his complaints as Tempest is.
Tempest is always getting him into trouble, though. And how can Storm resist when Tempest is his brother?
The two of them set out late one day to find adventure, Storm carrying their picnic supplies while Tempest fluttered about. The Windswept Plateau is deceptively flat, so walking just a little bit can actually take you far, far away from everything you knew.
Storm learned this when night fell and the pair of them couldn’t find their home. Neither of them knew which way to turn. In a panic, they discarded their empty picnic basket—apples eaten to cores, berries to pits. Storm was worried, but Tempest stopped him and pointed upward. “Look!”
In the flawless black, they could see starlight, comets, galaxies. Shooting stars poured forth from the sky.
Tempest panicked, thinking the world was ending. But Storm knew it wasn’t so. He watched the sky, feeling connected to everything, and the feeling persisted even after Dawn flew down to give them both a good tongue-lashing and take them home. Since then, Storm has been especially kind to every dragon he meets—he thinks some of them might come from the sky.
