Mochi

She doesn't remember where she came from, she remembers warmth, and love, and twitching whiskers and swift clever paws. There was the Open, seeming so interesting and fun, she went out into the Open but couldn't find her way back. Back to the one who loved her. She woke to darkness, to glowing and the soothing scent of pine. However she still has the distinct memories of gentle touches and cooing words, she was taken in by Kairos as a small hatching, lost and still searching for that warmth she lost, for the love that was with her still.
She knew that in either place, she was loved.
Sometimes, she has the strangest dreams, of a huge looming figure, one that she doesn't recognize, and one that she has never seen in this life. The strange creature would purr and coo at her, sweet, comforting words that she didn't understand. The creature would tickle her under the chin causing her to smile and purr in contentment, warm and safe. The one who loved her dearly in the strange dreamy memories. Mochi remembers these things, and wishes she could go back, just as she feels the loving creature would want her back.
It just wasn't in the stars however.
