Etymology: The Mai Tai is an alcoholic cocktail based on rum, Curaçao liqueur, orgeat syrup and lime juice, associated with Polynesian-style settings. "Maita'i" is the Tahitian word for "good"; but the drink is spelled as two words, sometimes hyphenated or capitalized. The Trader Vic's story of its invention is that the Trader (Victor J. Bergeron) created it one afternoon for some friends who were visiting from Tahiti. One of those friends, Carrie Guild, tasted it and cried out: "Maita'i roa ae!" (literally "very good!", figuratively "Out of this world! The best!")—hence the name. The Mai Tai became such a popular cocktail in the 1950s–60s that many restaurants, particularly tiki-themed restaurants or bars, served them. The Mai Tai was also prominently featured in the Elvis Presley film Blue Hawaii.
Pompous snob, Mai Tai knows how beautiful he is, you don't need to remind him. The clan aren't sure why they put up with him; aside from looking pretty he doesn't contribute much. Obsessively preening and looking at his reflection takes up most of his day, the rest is spent trying to stop his familiar shredding him to pieces. The huge size difference works in the favour the Nekomata, able to slip and crawl and attack from surprise vantage points, the rest of the dragons would be more worried if it wasn't for the fact that Mai Tai is the only one it bothers. Too much time staring at his wings tends to make most uneasy and eventually leaves them in a trance like state, Oloroso theorised Mai Tai has formidable magicks imbued into his very being and could be able to wield legendary arcane power if he stopped preening for once. 26645314_350.png
