ShimmerGloom was born in the in Clan Diamond Dust, But like many other dragons, as she grew she wanted to see more or the world. She ignored these feelings for a while, but found herself sitting at the edge of her clans limits, trying to spot new things in the distance.
One day as she was doing this, the clan founder walked up to her and sat with her, he watched with her for a while before finally speaking.
"What is it you hope to see sitting here? You see the same things everyday do you not?"
She shrugged, still staring into the distant ice.
"Sometimes, there are new things, Every once in a while a pillar of ice or snow that had been gathering will fall over, or there will be a new scent or track in the snow"
He looked back into the distance, trying to spot these things.
"You sure do seem to have a keen eye with these things"
She shrugged,
"It's easy to spot change when you've been watching the same thing for a while"
"Yes, I would guess so. But wouldn't you like to see something new? I can see it in your eyes, You want to know what else is out there, and believe me, there is so much out there"
She finally looked away from the ice and to him,
"what are you saying?"
He smiled and looked her in the eyes.
"I'm saying, You can leave if you want to, you aren't forced to stay here. You can travel the world"
With that, She had settled off for her adventure, her parents were proud, but sad to see her leave. Her father gave her a fierce familiar to 'protect' her. Her friends and family hoped that she will return one day.
On her adventure she saw many things, had gotten into some battles, and bonded with her skeletal friend along the way, eventually naming him Lether.
After years of travel, she had seen almost everything she could have hoped for, she had thought she'd seen everything, so she headed home. Along her way home she met Frost, and fell in love, Suddenly realizing what she hadn't seen yet, She hadn't seen dragons grow from hatchlings to strong adults, dragons that she could call her son and daughters. She settled with frost and now sits with her eggs, watching them carefully, for she wanted to see a generation she could call her own.
