The Standstill.
Tlach almost never seen without other Mirrors. Where his pack goes, he goes. It doesn't matter to him what they do, so long as he's surrounded by familiar faces. They could all sit to watch paint dry and he would be more than happy to do so.
Those few who have seen Tlach alone know his fear of being without a crowd, so much so it borders on phobia. Alone without his pack is a thing he desperately tries to avoid. Thankfully, his work doesn't really require it of him.
Officials observe his work with skepticism. Why? Does this make him the best choice? But, he's proven many times that when he takes charge- which is more often than many would think- the others respond well to him. A natural leader.
And his drive. Tlach may not be the strongest, but his tireless endurance has given him his title. He gets so enveloped in his fights it can take him hours to calm; To interrupt him mid-fight runs its own, not-inconsiderable risks. In the height of his focus, he wouldn't even notice being apart.
