“Believe something and the Universe is on its way to being changed. Because you've changed, by believing. Once you've changed, other things start to follow. Isn't that the way it works?”

Though she was born on the troupe lands, Allura's earliest memories were formed in the scorched and sometimes almost parched lands of the Sgail Lasair. Her parents, simply travelers without much reason to share their names or their duties, had been on what could only be assumed a diplomatic mission in the Sunbeam Ruins when the nest was ready to be laid. As welcoming as the troupe had been, the pair knew they were counted as enemies among the Sgail Lasair and thus returned to their own home the moment the nest hatched. Allura's only memories of the hatching day are a hazy whirlwind of activity, barely out of the shell when her parents swept her two brothers and herself up to return to the Ashfall Wastes immediately.
Time past, and Allura knew somewhere in her heart that she was never meant to stay with her parents clan. One of her brothers, a lovely pale boy with his own pearl that glimmered like diamond dust, had already set out to find himself a new home but Allura found the marketing appeals to pay her own way from the clan to be tiring and unfruitful in most ventures. It was only by chance that emmissaries from the Passus Canorous approached the clan with hopes to offer another peace-offering between them. A trade, they said, of two young dragons. Their own dragon, a pretty Imperial girl who was barely into her teenage years and tripping over her own tail, seemed almost anxious to make the trade as if she knew some other fate might await her should she remain with the troupe. Unable to find anything wrong with the deal, Allura volunteered to return to the place of her birth and work as an ambassador between the two clans. The trip between the clans was long, but not entirely unpleasant. Her new traveling companions were jovial, chattering with her constantly and reassuring her she'd enjoy her time in their lands. Each day brought new things to learn and along the way Allura found that she rather enjoyed the magical abilities bestowed upon her by the Lightweaver. One dragon taught her to create small balls of light that hovered in front of her to light her trail in the darkness, another taught her to listen and watch the sunbeams and moonbeams as they traveled. Upon arriving in the troupe, Allura decided to pursue a life as a mage and spends much time in the troupe's library as well as flitting between neighboring clans' libraries as well. One of her former traveling companions gifted her with a set of mage's robes, and a few enchanted jewels. Allura hopes one day to use the magic she's learning to provide a better understanding between her parents clan and her current home.
