Leenari was once a beautiful, stunning dragon that graced her home. Her shining white plumage and fine, shining scales shone bright in the sun in the Light Flight clan; making many males turn their eye and many females feel envious. She ran a flower shop, growing all sorts of flowers that were just as beautiful as her looks. Her favorite thing was to piece together flower crowns, handing them out to young children for free and letting them wear them until the flowers drooped from the sun’s sapping strength.

But then one day, she was out in a nearby valley looking for new flowers. She was constantly buying new seeds, or preferably, going out in the fields to find new types to transplant. Leenari was nearby a forest, just reaching its edge, when she was attacked. The monsters were only a few, but enough to overwhelm the harmless Coatl. She proved to be a fighter, even if a weak one, and managed to just escape with her life.

However, Leenari was mortally wounded. She barely made it back to the clan before she collapsed. The healers rushed to her aid, bringing her to their houses to help the poor girl. They found an odd, but not unseen, magic in her wounds. It was a terrible kind of magic, one that would never let the wounds heal. The healers knew that the Coatl could live, and so they bandaged her up the best they could and when she awoke, gently broke the news. Leenari was devastated, saddened, and frustrated at her new condition. In the weeks that followed, she faced many trials that challenged her.

For one, her wounds constantly caused her pain. She took daily medicine that took most of it away, but at times, Leenari was bedridden; sometimes for days. Everyone pitied her, but tried to be kind and help her. She liked their help, and appreciated that her friends and family thought her strong enough to take care of herself. Leenari, after a few months, grew used to her wounds. She even opened back up her flower shop, delighted when she learned others had kept her gardens well-watered and tended. She went back to her normal life, only now she was changed.
