Biography
p u n a l u ' u
Blessed with a long nimble prehensile tail, Punalu'u is a crafty tailor that knits and sews to her hearts content on the soft beaches of Steel Crest. The young Coatl dame was lucky enough to be born with lovely cream colored down underneath her glistening feathers that refract light in beautiful arrays of colors. Her belly is a very dark flint shade, feeling coarse much like beach sand baked under the sun.
Punalu'u worked strenuously under harsh conditions in her previous dwelling, in an open forgery that barely let her practice any of her other passions. She was an extremely good enchanter by trade, blessing weapons with the soft hum of her voice and magic carefully knitted across the bauble or weapons she held. She loved enchanting and it was quite profitable for her, but as her peers pushed her deeper into it, the less time she had to herself. In the throws of depression, a handsome new customer by the name of Mandarin came to her shop looking to enchant a strange scroll she had never seen before. All the while, the Guardian flirted with her relentlessly, following her tail wherever she went despite her boss's anger.
As Mandarin looked over his finished order, Punalu'u stared at him with eagerness to hear his appraisal. He craned his neck down to her level, asking her to stand back and watch. As she obeyed his order, Mandarin's runes glowed blindingly bright as he unraveled the scroll... and with an explosion of orange and blue scales, a Spiral zipped into the air, stretching and cackling before resting his long body around Punalu'u. There were no words, Punalu'u had never watched a dragon change in front of her before! With her mind still processing what happened, Mandarin offered Punalu'u to come to Steel Crest Cove with him as their enchanter. He tempted her with safety and freedom to do as she pleased in a beautiful paradise, an offer she took up without further question.
In the open beach of the Cove, Punalu'u now practices her talents without the stress of endless commissions. As well as helping the lovely Alahmah outfit their matriarch in nothing but the most beautiful silks, she is also a skilled magician that fights for dominance, but only when she feels she has the time or is enticed with coercion's like, "we could use your talents for this particular fight" or "having you there would boost morale". Mandarin now has her at his beck and call, and they often nest together in their own private nest in a tunnel most dragons can't fit through. She loves her children, but often sends them off at a young age with the fear of committing more of her time to strenuous activity.
