Main Theme: I Bet My Life - Imagine Dragons

______ From a young age, Theseus knew what he wanted to be: a warrior.

Theseus's father spent most of his time devoted to his studies, often not paying any attention to his mate or children. Theseus's mother was a fortune teller of his birth-clan and, because of this, she often was not around either. Theseus was not the oldest of his siblings, but he was the oldest male. So, Theseus took it upon himself to watch after his siblings. The best way he thought he could do this was by becoming a strong warrior.

Theseus used to sit at the entrance to his family's den and watch the older warriors as they came through camp, going about their daily activities and chores. He always pestered the older dragons into telling him stories of their adventures and battles. Some dragons would humor him, and tell him tales of adventure or teach him a few simple fighting moves. Others would simply ignore him.

______ When Theseus was finally old enough, he made it clear that he wanted to be trained to be a warrior. Without any opposition from his parents, his birth-clan's leader allowed him to train to be a warrior. She assigned him to work with the clan's blind warrior, an imperial named Murdock. Though the imperial was blind, he was one of the strongest dragons in the clan. He was not very patient but, under his instruction, Theseus became a strong and respected warrior, learning how to fight not only with his sense of sight, but with his other senses as well.

As time passed, Theseus grew in his skills. His sister became a sorceress, studying under their father. His brother, however, became disillusioned with the clan and its lifestyle. One night, Theseus's brother came to him to say goodbye. The next morning, he was gone.

It broke Theseus's hear that he could not stop his brother from leaving. He knew that it was a decision his brother had made, but it did not stop Theseus from feeling he could have done something about it.

Eventually, Theseus felt he had learned everything he could from training under his master. The thought of living in the clan which had made his brother so upset drove Theseus to the decision to leave. He hoped that by traveling, he could learn more skills to become a better warrior and that one day, he would be reunited with his brother, Pegasus.
