Rainbow Shark

Native to the Fishspine Reef, the Rainbow Sharks live and play among the coral, chasing their favorite food-- the rainbow trout. Some say this is what gives them their bright colors, but the Rainbow Shark Elders all say the Tidelord gave them their usually bright stripes as a gift to show the ghosts of the reef where to find a friendly ear to help them with unresolved business. The young of the ever-moving schools are taught early how to identify the shades of those unfortunate drowned spirits-- Beastclan, Dragon, or otherwise-- and how to help or defend themselves from the more violent shades.

To have a Rainbow Shark leave the reef and come to land or settle in a clan in the Sea of a Thousand Currents would mean many things. It would be very fortuitous for the clan in question as Rainbow Sharks bring luck where ever they go. Despite their quiet and sometimes eerie calm in the face of chaos and storms or life, they can sort through anything and bring it back to center and help a clan retain its balance. They make great Mediators and Hatchling Instructors, as well as Spirit Guides or simply companions for a journey.
