The royal bloodline isn't what it used to be. Too much intermarrying I suppose. I always say, "when you reduce a family tree to a family bush, you just can't hide as much beneath it!"

The book of G'kar, she really named it, "The Book of G'Kar"?! Those were the words of disbelief and astonishment that made its way around the cave shortly after Mayan came to join them. She had taken on a book with wings as her familiar, after some young mage in the clan thought it would be a funny joke to enchant it. It doesn't do anything it's supposed to, flying around in circles in Mayan and Lennier's quarters, making a mess of everything.

In fact, Lennier's goblin friend hates it. He bats at it every time it passes by over his head, trying to knock it down and get rid of it.
