Personality: Viola is much more introverted than either of her siblings (both adopted and biological), and she generally does not really interact with anyone other than her kin or her familiar. She is very timid and usually stays in her lair, where she practices various spells that she learned from several books she found while scavenging. Although she refuses to admit it, Viola is somewhat of a hopeless romantic and frequently pines for various dragons, regardless of their actual orientation. Due to her introverted personality, she is more of a silent admirer and tries not to get too carried away with her feelings, as she knows that such strong feelings could potentially interfere with her magic.

Familiar: Circe the Luna Mith. Circe is a relatively intelligent familiar who frequently cares for Viola and tends to her needs. Like the sorceress she was named after, Circe has a penchant for magic and sometimes travels to the Starfall Isles with Viola to learn about the magical properties in the Arcane domain. She is relatively tolerant of Viola's biological kin, but she cannot stand either Beatty or Graphite and will attempt to fire a hex at them when Viola is not looking.

Reputation: As a scholar, Viola has some respect from her Clanmates, but she is frequently cast aside by her more "interesting" coworkers. She usually gets along with her Clanmates, even though she usually prefers not to interact with them and stays away from them by hiding in her lair. Viola prefers to stay near her kin, and she is very close with them as a result. Both Beatty and Ashghost are protective over her, and they will not hesitate to attack anyone who tries to harm her. Her father, Chrysalis, also cares for her, but he is not overprotective and is actually more lenient with her than with her siblings.

Backstory: Viola was born into the Clan as a child of Chrysalis, a soldier, and Ashghost, the advisor to one of the Clan's progenitors. She had two siblings, Thistle and Hemlock. When Viola was just hours old, her only biological brother, Hemlock, was exchanged for Beatty, a Skydancer hatchling from another Clan. Because she was very young, she, along with her sister, immediately accepted the newcomer and was confused when her parents were distressed by Beatty. Viola and Thistle immediately took in Beatty as their brother and treated him just like they would have treated Hemlock, even though Beatty was neither a Tundra nor an Imperial. Out of the two, Viola was closer to Beatty, although by just a very small margin. Her familiar, Circe, was assigned by Ashghost to take care of Viola when she was away, and Circe soon became one of Viola's most valued companions. When Viola came of age, she was immediately drawn to the magic spells that her Clanmates practiced and decided to become a scholar. Circe became her apprentice, and the two started going to the Starfall Isles together to learn more about its magical properties. Since then, Viola's life has been realtively peaceful, and she hopes to refine her magic someday and become a respected sorceress, if she can remember all of those spells.
