Biography
Cassia Fortune favors the brave |
Heiress|Scholar|Archaeologist Though she oversees the day-to-day management of the clan herself, Cassia is rarely to be found in her office or even her own quarters. The twisting caverns and the evidence of their previous inhabitants fascinates her, and she has taken it upon herself to piece together the fate of their predecessors. On more than one occasion she has become far too engrossed in this work and Arcadia has had to search for her- usually finding Cassia happily working away with her tools and notes strewn across the cavern floor, completely unaware that she has been missing for nearly two days and a matter requires her urgent attention. In a crisis Cassia defaults to a cool rationality, and there have been very few instances in which she has lost her temper. She treats the other members of her clan as friends and equals, and prefers diplomacy to combat unless it is unavoidable. It is unwise to cross her, as beneath her soft exterior is a determined and fierce woman who is not afraid to dispense justice. History Born into the highest ranking family of a prosperous Light clan, Cassia grew up with a love for books and swordsmanship. Her future had been decided from the moment of her birth, and though she never openly disputed her parents’ plans, Cassia developed a hidden rebellious streak. Shortly before Cassia's eighteenth birthday and the date of her arranged marriage to Marinus, the son of another wealthy family, the Knight Errant Arcadia sought refuge with the clan, and swore her loyalty to Cassia. Once Cassia and Marinus were wed they set off with a small entourage, expected to settle not far from the Hewn City in a lair Cassia's father had secured for the new couple. However, neither Cassia nor Marinus wished to remain conveniently within reach of their parents, and so they struck out to a new territory, one that had been planned months before in hushed meetings and secretive letters. They were to travel to the Pillar of the World. None of them had expected the journey to be easy, but their lack of supplies soon became an issue and by the time the clan reached the Scarred Wasteland they had lost three of the guard. A Beastclan ambush on their first night seeking shelter with a Plague clan almost wiped them out, and if it hadn’t been for Arcadia’s battle prowess and a lucky escape, the group wouldn’t have made it to Dragonhome. After months of difficulty the fledgling clan— now numbering only four— settled in the tunnels of the Greatwyrm’s Breach. |
She/her/hers | Bisexual Theme: To The Hills - Laurel Relationships Cassia and Marinus make a fearsome duo, organised and passionate. Though they have remained best friends and plan on having children one day, their marriage is one of convenience and not of love. Cassia is not completely oblivious to Arcadia's feelings for her, but anything between the two has yet to progress beyond meaningful glances and the occasional lingering touch. |
