Revered alchemist and rumored descendant of Asmodeus, fallen angel and arch-demon, Maizière commands absolute respect and attention with her sole presence. She is extraordinarily beautiful, to the point that some may wonder if there is some dark magic at work.
This rumor may not entirely be false, as she maintains her vitality perfectly despite her arduous work. At dawn, she rises to receive her clients, to hear of their ailments and their desires, and uses her own judgement and knowledge to the benefit of each-pomegranate peel for irritability and low appetite, valerian for dreamless nights, feverfew for migraines, sage and rosemary to refine the senses-all this she does not for monetary gain, but rather something more peculiar. She asks for a singular memory of fear, whether it be a traumatic incident or a haunting nightmare. This memory is stored into a vial and handed over to her faithful assistant, the clouded mith Nyx, who stores it away in her personal store of alchemic constituents.

Maizière is not known to abuse her spellcraft, despite her own awareness of it's terrifying potential. This is said to be due to her admiration for Lucinda, and the patient counselling of Nyx. On occasion, she may transform into a chimaera birdwing to entertain young hatchlings or a pillar of brilliant flame to intimidate intruders.
