╭ "Whose the old geezer sweeping the floors?" the rookie courier asked, leaning against the counter while his delivery satchel was being filled. "That's Sweeper," a senior responded. "So, he's not even a courier?" "No. Sweeper only gets the most important jobs. The ones that need delivery in an hour and it's halfway across the world." The senior grabbed their full satchel, throwing it over their shoulder. "How could he even be that fast? That's impossible." The senior shrugged. "He's blessed, kid. By the Windsinger. You won't find a faster dragon in the sky." -- Sweeper is called so because that's primarily what he does. He sweeps. No one knows his actual name, and no one has ever been bothered to ask. Not like Sweeper would give it. He's a quiet sort that doesn't talk about himself, and he likes to keep it that way. He only stops sweeping when there's an important delivery, one that needs to be done right then and there and no questions asked. He's a blur in the sky, just a green and blue dash that vanishes shortly after. As a blessed dragon, his magic is powerfully concentrated. He helps release the pent-up magical energy through careful, meditative sweeping. Over and over and over. The floors in the post office shine. ╰ |
