Emre isn’t sure how he became ice, or when he became ice. He just knew that he woke up one day, with his own feathers and scales once being made out of flesh and blood have turned into an eerie frozen supplement. His reaction was instantly to go out into the heat and see if he would melt. Surprisingly, he didn’t. He just found that he remained as frozen and frigid as ever, even in the heat of fire. He traveled all of Sorienth looking for the hottest and coldest places around, attempting to figure out what he is.
Eventually he just gave up and became happy with what and who he was, but some curious alchemists in a distant Light clan sent him a letter asking to study him, and he’d get paid in luxurious gems as a result. So now he settled down in the Sunbeam Ruins, in his own little lair with the love of his life, and occasionally is sent by a messenger some oddly shaped jewels that almost smell of blood. He really doesn’t want to think about that.

But, trouble in paradise started not to long after. Apparently, having a literal heart made of ice doesn't numb his passions even as he settles into domestic life. She didn't see it the same way, and soon handed him the divorce papers. His wife left him and took the kids. He is only allowed to see them on every other weekend. He's pretty sure the ones that remain in this clan resent him. Oh well, you can't win them all, Emre!
