He is strong in magic and uses it as his Empress wishes. he likes to play tricks and extend the torture of those he is sent to deal with. even though he has a darker side, he is still close friends within the High Five. this works well since sometimes to win a fight they need his darker side to team up with BloodShadow to make sure the clan and its members live to see another day. though he may come off as arrogant at times he never fails to come to help when it counts.
The gems that cover Chrysophylax's body are made of charged and condenced magic created by the constant flow of enery that flows in and around him. the flow of magic often takes on the looks and properties of electricity. He is often seen with these bolts running around him and creating gems wherever they meet his scales. The gems that are created this way can be used in many ways. some are used in various potions for the clan, although his favorite use for them is in battle. Chrysophylax grabs a crystal off his body, adds a spark to it, then throws it at the enemy. the resulting effect is much like a flash bang grenade the humans of myth are rumored to have created. they were his inspiration for using his gems in this and a few other manners.
